Thinkware Multiplexer Rideshare Bundle

Great system. I was worried about the side external cameras weather they would hold up if I went through a car wash. They stayed and did not fall off. Also, the are waterproof. Side Cameras worked great after going through car wash - so no worries. My installer did put the side cameras under my outside mirrors. This allowed me to see better and also give my cameras a more stealth look so they are not in plan site. So, up to you. What ever gives you the best visibility. The support I got from Michael was 5 Stars out of 5 Stars. Great company with excellent support.

I realized after my wife was almost in a fatal car accident on the driver's side that critical video coverage of the incident was missing when evaluating just what had happened. If the dashcam system had had side cameras (4 ch) the whole driving incident would have been completely recorded. Because most dashcam offerings are either 1 or 2 channel systems, coverage is limited to the front and the back of a vehicle. The Thinkware multiplexor combined with the Thinkware F200 and (a few other models), expands the dashcam coverage to a full 360 degrees around vehicle. To my knowledge, the only hardware/software dashcam solution currently available to achieve a 4 or 5-channel front, rear, side to side and inside dashcam coverage is from Thinkware. I had seen the 5-ch multiplexor on the Blackboxmycar website and really wanted to use it but the power cabling to tie all the cameras and dashcam together back to a backup battery was not an off-the-shelf product. There was no way I was going to purchase this 5-ch system without a backup battery. I contacted Blackboxmycar and talked to Grayson about offering a custom cable to achieve this but got the feeling there was not too much enthisiasm for doing this. After repeatably bugging him that more customers would buy a system like this he went back to the technical team and they built a custom cable. I immediately bought 2 systems. It is not advertised but for a fee they will build this backup battery-compatible power cable. I would encourage anyone who desires surveillance from all sides of their vehicle including the inside (5 ch), and who also require a backup battery to reach out to Blackboxmycar. You won't be disappointed!
